Hardware retailer Screwfix is to open 40 new stores this year, creating around 460 jobs, bucking the trend for closures amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a rare instance of a retail business expanding its bricks-and-mortar presence, the DIY firm has announced plans to open 30 new UK stores and at least 10 further branches in the Republic of Ireland.
